Colophon
This web site is formatted using XHTML Strict and is accessible from any browser. The layout and typography is defined by CSS style sheets. The style sheet switcher is based on the Alternative Style article on A List Apart, but is revised to use PHP to deliver the correct style sheet.
The graphics on this site were created with Xara X. In addition, I also used an old favourite Personal Paint to tidy up and compress the site graphics and take advantage of its generally great 8-bit imaging capabilities.
‘Blue’ Skin
The photograph of Cir Mhor, Caisteal Abhail and the Witch’s Step at the top right of each page was taken from the summit of Goatfell on the Isle of Arran in July of 1999, a perfect summer’s day. The camera was a disposable. The watermark behind the body text is a stylized outline of the Arran map.

‘Sand’ Skin
The photograph used in the ‘Sand’ skin was also taken from Goatfell at the same time on the same day. As the angle in relation to the sun was less favourable than the first photo, it is more of a hazy, abstract image that sits well in the sand ’n’ sea theme. The backdrop consists of a couple of 2-colour tiled images that provide a grainy texture.

More?
More skins are a strong possibility due to the style-agnostic markup of this web site. I welcome any requests with an open mind :o)
